Most Accurate A5 Barrel
There are a lot of A5 Tippmann guns out there and a common question is what is the most accurate A5 barrel.
With the huge amount of choices of paintball barrels available in the market today and the first thing being the barrel which is changed on paintball guns, it is no easy answer.
Choosing a barrel is very much a personal choice from looks to lengths, colours, bore sizes and brands. Which position you play is also important. Sniper, long range, scout, short range and so on. Other factors like quietness as well as weight of the barrel and how it balances on the gun is another important consideration.
When choosing a paintball barrel, what would be interesting to note is the surge in popularity of the famous Furious Lotus paintball barrel amongst scenario and UWL (Ultimate Woodsball League) teams that are sponsored by Tippmann and shoot either A5s or Phenom X7s.
Some of the teams that have chosen to shoot Furious barrels due to their consistent accuracy, reduced sound signature and air efficiency are Desert Edge, Bad Karma and Cobra Paintball. After extensive testing of many barrels, they all come to one conclusion that the Furious barrel outperforms the rest. They have not been disappointed.
Being at the top of their game, this is very important and it is no fluke that Furious barrels were chosen.
When choosing an aftermarket barrel, do take these considerations into account: weight, material (carbon fibre or aluminum), bore selections available (important to size your paint. Barrel to paint match), length choices available (Furious just came out with a 12″ tip which has proven to be very popular – players want something more compact), porting design (yes it does make a difference) and colour if that tickles your fancy.
Other points which are important to some people are the looks of the barrel. Paintball is fashion at times! A very important factor to also look at is the quality of the annodizing as well as the internal honing. Some barrels scrimp on quality so be sure to check this out. It makes a tremendous difference on the lastability and shootability of your barrel. You would want to spend you hard earned money on a quality product.
The greatest test is if you can shoot the barrel first and get a feel for it. If not, go for a Furious Paintball barrel, pleasantly surprised, happy and awed is what you will be when you are looking for the most accurate a5 barrel out there.
